NOVELTY - The method involves preparing an optical channel waveguide. The graphene oxide solution is drop casted over the channel waveguide. The solution is dried. The drop casting graphene oxide solution is performed by dispensing graphene oxide solution using micropipette. The dispensing graphene oxide solution is performed using three solution drops. The drop casting graphene oxide solution and drying the solution are repeated until the layer thickness is 2 mm. The drop casting graphene oxide solution and drying the solution are repeated until the layer has a length of 1.0 to 2.0 mm in the propagation direction. The channel waveguide and graphene oxide covered region are covered with resin. USE - Method of fabricating optical waveguide polarizer (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables high extinction ratio for graphene based waveguide polarizer. The method simple and effective means for waveguide polarizer fabrication as enables the flexibility of selective areas drop casting on an optical circuit intended for the polarization function without the need for a physical mask during deposition or mechanical transfer of the graphene layers. The method is used to increase capacity in fiber optical communication systems as well as platforms for PIC fabrication without increasing the complexity.
