NOVELTY - The composition comprises carbon fractals or graphene (at least 0.1 wt.%). USE - For electric conductor, electron emitter, electrode, structural element and heat conductor. For forming carbon nanostructures such as single-wall carbon nanotubes, multi-wall carbon nanotubes, fullerenes, nano diamonds and nanoanions. ADVANTAGE - Carbon nanostructures are mass-produced from graphite. The graphene is re-shaped to form other nanostructures. Graphene and/or carbon fractals are contained in an amount effective to increase thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, adsorption and/or mechanical stability of the bulk composition. Graphene can be produced simply and inexpensively. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The carbon fractals are coated with a metal which is a noble metal. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) isolated carbon fractal; (2) graphene coated with metal; (3) bulk composition; (4) method of preparing composition comprising nanostructured carbon; and (5) method of producing an open-ended single-wall carbon nanotube.
