▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Manufacture of a foamed-bitumen reinforced asphalt structure involves preparing an aggregate containing pieces of asphalt, concrete and/or stone, mixing the aggregate with hot bitumen, graphene oxide and cool water, and forming mixture into an expansion-confining volume within a structure in which the graphene oxide flakes strengthen the foamed-bitumen when formed into a structure. USE - Manufacture of foamed-bitumen reinforced asphalt structure used as portion of roadway (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables efficient manufacture of foamed-bitumen reinforced asphalt structure with improved strength and reduced mechanical defects. The graphene/graphite oxide has edge-only oxidization flakes with a pristine surface free of distortions, and epoxy groups or corrugations with low surface energies allowing for easier incorporation and entrainment in a host through powder mixing resulting in enhance physical properties of the asphalt structure. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of graphene/graphite oxide mixed with other hydrophobic powders, which involves obtaining graphene/graphite oxide containing graphene/graphite oxide flakes with a surface area to thickness ratio of more than 300 Angstrom , and thickness of less than 160 Angstrom . The oxide does not contain significant physical surface distortions and epoxy functionalizations, and has an oxidation level of less than 1.5 %mass.
