NOVELTY - Preparing water purifying device filter element based on multilayer graphene oxide continuous film, comprises (1) annealing metal sheet at 500-1100°C in atmosphere of non-oxidizing gas and protective gas; (2) introducing carbon-containing gas into metal sheet, reacting, stop feeding the carbon-containing gas, cooling to room temperature, obtaining metal sheet covered with multi-layer graphene continuous film; (3) heating under the atmosphere of oxidizing gas and annealing, cooling to room temperature, and obtaining metal sheet covered with continuous film of multilayer graphene oxide; (4a) dissolving metal sheets with ferric chloride solution to obtain complete multi-layer graphene continuous film suspended in solution, picking up multi-layer graphene continuous film from solution, cleaning in deionized water, and drying; or (4b) directly peeling off multilayer graphene continuous film from metal sheet with adhesive tape, and removing adhesive tape with chemical reagents or heating. USE - The filter element is useful for sewage treatment and seawater desalination. ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple and easy. The filter element: high repeatability; and actively removes various pollutants, so as to obtain pure direct drinking water.
