NOVELTY - A membrane comprises a membrane component (2) comprising a membrane surface (a) and a membrane surface (b) opposite the membrane surface (a). A coating based on nanoflakes is applied to the membrane surface (a) and/or membrane surface (b). USE - Membrane e.g. semipermeable membrane, preferably proton exchange membrane used for galvanic cell (all claimed) used as polymer electrolyte fuel cell such as methanol fuel cells, battery or accumulator. ADVANTAGE - The membrane has excellent proton conductivity and/or molecular or ion permeability and allows a reduction in crossover effects compared to the existing membrane.
