NOVELTY - Catalyst comprises active components and carrier, where the active ingredients comprises 10-35 wt.% group VIII metals, 5-10 wt.% group IB metal and -254 wt.% group IIB metal. The carrier includes water-resistant inorganic oxide, molecular sieve and carbon. The group VIII metal is set to 5-20 wt.% nickel, 5-10 wt.% cobalt, and 0.5-3 wt.% iron, and the group IB metal is set to 5-10 wt.% copper. The group IIB metal is set to 8-25 wt.% zinc. USE - Catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst does not need noble metal and has high selectivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing a catalyst, which involves: (A) loading precursor of the active component on the carrier, drying, where the drying temperature is set to 80-120 degrees C, and the drying time is set to 2-4 hours; and (B) carrying out roasting after the drying is completed, the temperature of the roasting is set to 350-950 degrees C, and the roasting time is set to 4-12 hours.
