ADVANTAGE - The graphene modified lithium ion battery cathode material has high conductivity and increased life time, enlarges battery capacity, and effectively releases structural stress resulting from change of electrode volume during charging and discharging. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for manufacturing the cathode material, which involves uniformly dispersing graphene oxide in aqueous solution or organic solution, uniformly scattering graphite nodule in organic solution, uniformly mixing both the solutions, adding reducing agent to the mixture, stirring and refluxing mixture at 60-150 degrees C for 12-24 hours, filtering the mixture, drying the filtrate in inert atmosphere, and calcining the dried filtrate at 200-1000 degrees C for 30 minutes-8 hours.
