NOVELTY - Semi-solid zinc slurry cathode solvent, 10-50 wt.% zinc powder, 1-8 wt.% conductive agent, 0.2-5 wt.% thickener, and 1-10 wt.% additive, where the additive comprises at least one of copper powder, tin powder, iron powder, nickel powder and silver powder. USE - The semi-solid zinc slurry cathode is useful in preparation of cathode of an aqueous zinc ion battery (claimed), which is used as medium device for coordinating power input and output in power grid. ADVANTAGE - The semi-solid zinc slurry cathode solves problem of zinc dendrite, increases metal powder additive as the site of zinc deposition, blocks accumulation of zinc on the large particles caused by the disappearance of small particles of zinc after repeated peeling, has high zinc metal affinity, absorbs zinc powder surface to relieve corrosion and hydrogen evolution reaction, effectively disperses zinc powder particles, stably suspends zinc powder in the slurry without settling, increases amount of metal powder in zinc powder slurry, reduces raw material cost of zinc metal cathode, and improves utilization rate of zinc.
