NOVELTY - A method of treating waste gas containing volatile organic compounds includes an initial treating step and an adsorbing step. The initial treating step includes preparing a dust collecting device and then filtering particles and dust of waste gas with the dust collecting device to get initially-treated gas. The adsorbing step includes introducing the initially-treated gas into at least one adsorption column with at least one graphene ceramic plate disposed thereon so that an adsorption between the graphene ceramic plate and the initially-treated gas is generated to adsorb volatile organic compounds of the initially-treated gas, which facilitates the removal of volatile organic compounds from the initially-treated gas to thereby get reducing gas. The reducing gas can be discharged or subjected to other treatment to prevent the volatile organic compounds from polluting the environment. Thus, the effect of protecting the environment is attained.
