NOVELTY - The preparation of graphene/epoxy resin flame-retardant composite material involves adding raw materials of expandable graphite, potassium permanganate and concentrated sulfuric acid according to the ratio of 1 g:5 g:50 ml into hydrothermal synthesis reactor, reacting, drying, cooling reactor to room temperature, opening reactor, transferring graphene oxide in reactor to beaker, adding deionized water, diluting to 500 ml, adding 20% hydrogen peroxide, stirring until the solution is bright yellow, washing several times until the pH of aqueous graphene oxide solution is 6-7, pouring off upper layer of water, calculating the solid content of graphene oxide in the aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide by weighing process, compounding aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide with epoxy resin, heating-mechanical stirring to remove water, obtaining graphene oxide/epoxy composite material, and adding reduced metal powder and hydrochloric acid to graphene oxide/epoxy composite material. USE - Preparation of graphene/epoxy resin flame-retardant composite material. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene/epoxy resin flame-retardant composite material by environmentally-friendly process, improves the dispersibility of graphene in epoxy resin, enhances flame retardance of graphene/epoxy resin, and does not use toxic and harmful solvents. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation of graphene/epoxy resin flame-retardant composite material involves adding raw materials of expandable graphite, potassium permanganate and concentrated sulfuric acid according to the ratio of 1 g:5 g:50 ml into hydrothermal synthesis reactor, reacting, drying in an electric blast drying oven at 80 degrees C for 3 hours, cooling reactor to room temperature after reaction is completed, opening reactor, transferring graphene oxide in reactor to beaker, adding deionized water, diluting to 500 ml, adding 20% hydrogen peroxide, stirring until the solution is bright yellow, washing several times until the pH of aqueous graphene oxide solution is 6-7, pouring off the upper layer of water, calculating the solid content of graphene oxide in the aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide by weighing process, compounding aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide with epoxy resin, heating-mechanical stirring to remove water, obtaining graphene oxide/epoxy composite material, and adding reduced metal powder and hydrochloric acid to graphene oxide/epoxy composite material.
