NOVELTY - Boron carbide ceramic material comprises 75-82 wt.% boron carbide, 5-20 wt.% silicon carbide, 3-10 wt.% aluminum, and 0.5-3.0 wt.% graphene. USE - Boron carbide ceramic material. ADVANTAGE - The boron carbide ceramic material has high density, high hardness and good toughness, has highest comprehensive density of 2.625 g/cm3, density reaches 100%, hardness reaches 30.09 plus minus 0.39 GPa, and fracture toughness reaches 5.88 plus minus 0.49 MPa/m2. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of boron carbide ceramic material by weighing components according to proportion; mixing components with anhydrous ethanol for 2 hours on ultrasonic oscillator; drying, grinding and sieving; putting powder into mold, in which powder is separated from inner wall of graphite mold, and upper and lower indenters and powder are separated by carbon paper; pre-forming powder in graphite abrasive tools; subjecting to discharge plasma sintering under argon atmosphere by heating at 100 degrees C/minute to 1650-1850 degrees C; insulating for 3-5 minutes; and cooling with furnace to obtain boron carbide ceramic material.
