NOVELTY - A negative electrode material comprises zinc sheet and solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) protective layer set on the surface of the zinc sheet. The SEI protective layer comprises polymer and zinc ion. The polymer comprises nitrogen-containing five-membered ring and nitrogen-containing six-membered ring. USE - Negative electrode material for zinc-ion battery used in power applications (claimed). ADVANTAGE - A layer of SEI protection layer is formed on the zinc on the negative electrode position, which exihibits excellent electrochemical performance when used as negative electrode material of zinc ion battery material. The problems of disordered growth of dendrites, low reversibility and short cycle life caused by by-product formation in zinc-ion battery negative electrode material are solved.
