NOVELTY - A boron carbide-based bulletproof ceramic comprises 100 pts. wt. boron carbide powder, 3-15 pts. wt. complex additive powder, 50-60 pts. wt. water, 0.1-1.5 pts. wt. water, 2-5 pts. dispersant and 0.5-1 pt. wt. dispersant. USE - Lightweight high-performance boron carbide-based bulletproof ceramic. ADVANTAGE - The light high performance boron carbide base bullet-proof ceramic has excellent strength, bending strength, fracture toughness and fracture toughness. The ceramic is lightweight, and has high performance. The sintering activity of the ceramic powder material is improved, and the sinting process cost is reduced. The mass production of the product is stable. The product density uniformity, low size precision and the product thickness are not uniform. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a preparation method of boron carbide-based bulletproof ceramic, which involves (1) fully mixing boron carbide powder and multiphase additive powder to obtain mixed powder, (2) fully mixing the mixed powder obtained in step (1) with water, dispersant and binder to prepare slurry, (3) passing the slurry obtained in step (2) through a spray granulator to obtain pellets, (4) using a dry bag type cold isostatic press to press the pellet obtained in step (3) into a blank, (5) placing the blank obtained in step (4) in a sintering mold and loading it into a hot pressing furnace for hot pressing to obtain a sintered blank and (6) subjecting the sintered blank obtained in step (5) to sandblasting.
