NOVELTY - Preparation of monolithic catalyst comprises soaking melamine sponge in graphene suspension for a period of time under ultrasonic condition, taking out, soaking in potassium permanganate solution, naturally drying at room temperature, heating at 55-65degrees Celsius, taking out, washing, and drying at room temperature. USE - The method is for preparation of monolithic catalyst used for manganese-based photothermal synergistic removal of formaldehyde under illumination condition (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The monolithic catalyst has three-layer structure of melamine sponge, graphene oxide and manganese oxide, and excellent removal of formaldehyde under illumination condition.
