▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A composition of matter comprises transition metal doped magnesium nanocrystal encapsulated with reduced graphene oxide. USE - Composition of matter used as hydrogen storage material. ADVANTAGE - The composition of matter combines external (rGO strain) and internal (Ni doping) mechanisms, which efficiently promotes both hydriding and dehydriding processes of magnesium nanocrystals, and improves the kinetic and thermodynamic properties of the material. The composite has high hydrogen storage capacity and excellent kinetics while maintaining robustness, and is environmentally-friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for making transition metal doped reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-magnesium nanocrystals, which involves preparing a solution (A) by dissolving naphthalene tetrahydrofuran (THF) followed by the addition of metal to form lithium naphthalenide, preparing a solution (B) by dispersing graphene oxide (GO) in Tetrahydrofuran, preparing a solution (C) by dissolving bis (cyclopentadienyl) magnesium (Cp2Mg) and a transition metal precursor in tetrahydrofuran forming a combined solution by adding the solution (C) to solution (B), forming a resultant solution by mixing the combined solution with solution (A), and centrifuging the resultant solution.
