NOVELTY - Preparing graphene reinforced nickel-based composite involves placing foamed nickel sequentially in deionized water, ethanol and acetone for performing ultrasonic pretreatment to obtain pre-treated nickel foam. The pre-treated nickel foam is placed in chemical vapor deposition apparatus, after evacuation at gas flow rate of 60-120 standard cubic centimeter per minute. The apparatus is added with mixed gas of 17 wt.% hydrogen and argon. The chemical vapor deposition apparatus pressure is adjusted at 105 pascals. Temperature of the apparatus is raised to 10-15 degrees C/minute. USE - Method for preparing graphene reinforced nickel-based composite (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene reinforced nickel-based composite involves placing foamed nickel sequentially in deionized water, ethanol and acetone for performing ultrasonic pretreatment to obtain pre-treated nickel foam. The pre-treated nickel foam is placed in chemical vapor deposition apparatus, after evacuation at gas flow rate of 60-120 standard cubic centimeter per minute. The apparatus is added with mixed gas of 17 wt.% hydrogen and argon. The chemical vapor deposition apparatus pressure is adjusted at 105 pascals. Temperature of the apparatus is raised to 10-15 degrees C/minute and then to 750-850 degrees C for 15-30 minutes. The nickel foam is heated at rate of 5-15 degrees C/minute at 750-850 degrees C to 900-1050 degrees C. The deposition is performed for 5-20 minutes. Mixed gas amount if adjusted to 60-120 standard cubic centimeter per minute after deposition. The nickel foam is cooled at rate of 80-100 degrees C/minute at low room temperature. The mixed gas is stopped to obtain graphene nickel foam composite. The composite is placed in graphite mold and discharge plasma sintering apparatus at heating rate of 40-60 degrees C/minute. The temperature is raised to 1200-1250 degrees C at 35-65 megapascals with current time of 30-35 millisecond. The discharge plasma sintering is carried for 1-3 minutes. The nickel particles (particle size of 50-60 mu ) and graphene/nickel foam composite are mixed in ratio of ratio 2-3:1. The discharge plasma sintering apparatus is closed and cooled with water. Bulk composite is removed to obtain graphene reinforced nickel-based composite.
