NOVELTY - A graphene-based leather fatliquor comprises graphene grafted in molecular chain of fatliquor polymer by chemical bonding. Also claimed is preparation of the fatliquor. The method involves preparing aminated graphene by adding graphene oxide and organic solvent to 500 mL round bottom flask, ultrasonically dispersing, adding acid binding agent, dripping hexachlorocyclotriphosphonate diluted with organic solvent, reacting, adding diamine, reacting, cooling, vacuum filtering, anhydrous ethanol washing, and vacuum drying, heating grease and maleic anhydride monomer under stirring, heating, adding initiator, reacting to obtain grease-maleic anhydride copolymer, adding the aminated graphene to grease-maleic anhydride copolymer, heating to obtain grease-maleic anhydride copolymer intermediate containing functionalized graphene side groups, neutralizing intermediate by adding neutralizing agent, and dispersing in deionized water to adjust solid content to 25-35%. USE - Graphene-based leather fatliquor. ADVANTAGE - The leather fatliquor has excellent dispersion uniformity and stability, provides leather with effectively improved softness, flame retardance due to the presence of graphene and phosphorus-nitrogen system, and antistatic property, antiaging property, tear resistance, and antibacterial property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene-based leather fatliquor comprises graphene grafted in molecular chain of fatliquor polymer by chemical bonding. Also claimed is preparation of the fatliquor. The method involves preparing aminated graphene by adding 10 pts. wt. graphene oxide and organic solvent to 500 mL round bottom flask equipped with a nitrogen protection device, a mechanical stirrer, and a constant pressure dropping funnel, ultrasonically dispersing for 0.5-1.0 hour, adding 15-30 pts. wt. acid binding agent, dripping 30-40 pts. wt. hexachlorocyclotriphosphonate diluted with organic solvent, reacting at 60 degrees C for 6-8 hours, adding 30-45 pts. wt. diamine, reacting at 60 degrees C for 10 hours, cooling, vacuum filtering, anhydrous ethanol washing, and vacuum drying, adding 100 pts. wt. grease and 24-40 pts. wt. maleic anhydride monomer to a three-necked flask, heating to 60 degrees C under stirring to mix maleic anhydride with oil, heating to 80-110 degrees C, adding 3-5 pts. wt. initiator, reacting for 3 hours to obtain grease-maleic anhydride copolymer, adding 0.5-4 pts. wt. aminated graphene to 50 pts. wt. oil-maleic anhydride copolymer, heating at 40-60 degrees C for 4-6 hours to obtain oil-maleic anhydride copolymer intermediate containing functionalized graphene side groups, neutralizing intermediate by adding 2-8 pts. wt. neutralizing agent, and dispersing in deionized water to adjust solid content to 25-35%.
