NOVELTY - Graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate composition comprises a continuous matrix comprising polyethylene terephthalate, and a dispersed reinforcement phase comprising graphene nanoplatelets. USE - Graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate composition used for improving reheat energy consumption. ADVANTAGE - The graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate composition has improved strength and durability, and may be uniformly dispersed in polyethylene terephthalate so as to provide reinforced bulk polyethylene terephthalate composites having improved thermal properties, such as a reduced reheat energy consumption. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for forming a reinforced polyethylene terephthalate products, which involves: (A) forming a polyethylene terephthalate resin; (B) dispersing graphene nanoplatelets into the polyethylene terephthalate resin to form graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate resin; (C) manipulating the graphene reinforced polyethylene terephthalate resin into pellets; (D) reheating the pellets to form a molten liquid; and (E) forming the molten liquid into desired products.
