NOVELTY - Graphene sponge comprises graphene oxide and sodium alginate in a mass ratio of 1:0.1-1:10. USE - Graphene sponge used for removing pollutant from water by absorbing heavy metal ion (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene sponge has simple ingredients, no secondary pollution, promotes mass production, increases absorption capacity of pollutants, solves problem of solid-liquid separation and enriches trace heavy metals. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing graphene sponge, which involves: (A) performing ultrasonic mixing of graphene oxide and sodium alginate in a mass ratio of 1:0.1-1:10, adding alkaline substance for regulating pH to 8-10, heating at 60-150 degrees C for 0.5-10hours to obtain graphene hydrogel; (B) adding calcium ion solution to the obtained graphene hydrogel to obtain graphene aqueous sponge; and (C) leaching, washing and drying the obtained material to obtain the product.
