NOVELTY - The device has a power source, a first electrode (1), a second electrode (2), and an sensing electrode (3), where both the first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected to the power source. The sensing electrode is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The sensing electrode and the second electrode are all enclosed to form an air flow channel (4). The sensing electrode is configured to generate active species when the power supply is turned on, in order to degrade the gaseous pollutants in the air flow channel. The sensing electrode is a porous material electrode supporting a catalyst which is an iron-containing catalyst and a metal oxidant catalyst. USE - The device is used for degrading gaseous pollutants by electrochemical method. ADVANTAGE - The device improves the degradation efficiency of gaseous pollutants, and is suitable for degrading gaseous organic pollutants with poor water solubility.
