NOVELTY - A membrane comprises a porous polymer matrix and functionalized graphene or graphene oxide which is functionalized with a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane. USE - Membrane used for membrane distillation module (claimed) for removing arsenic. ADVANTAGE - The membrane has excellent separation performance, and porosity whilst retaining sufficient mechanical properties to withstand handling and high-shear testing environments. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a membrane distillation module, which comprises a permeate side conduit, a feed side conduit, and a membrane between the permeate side conduit and the feed side conduit.
