NOVELTY - Preparing a cathode of a secondary battery involves dispersing a binder material and a conductive agent in water to form a first suspension, and adding an aqueous solution containing lithium compound to the first suspension to form a second suspension. A cathode active material is added to the second suspension to form a third suspension. The third suspension is homogenized through a homogenizer to obtain a homogenized slurry. The homogenized slurry is coated on a current collector to form a coating film on the current collector. The coating film on the current collector is dried to form the cathode. The lithium compound is selected from lithium borate, lithium bromide, lithium chloride, lithium bicarbonate, lithium hydroxide, lithium iodide, lithium nitrate, lithium sulfate, lithium acetate, lithium lactate, lithium citrate, lithium succinate, or their mixture. USE - Method for preparing a cathode of a secondary battery. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the stability of the cathode by preventing undesired decomposition of the material, and exhibits excellent electrochemical performance.
