NOVELTY - A catalyst carrier preparation method involves preparing graphene oxide dispersion and polyethyleneimine aqueous solution using ultrapure water, adding the graphene oxide dispersion to the polyethyleneimine aqueous solution under stirring conditions, continuing stirring for 60-72 hours, performing solid-liquid separation, obtaining precipitate, washing the precipitate to neutral, drying in vacuum oven at 60 degrees C for 6 hours, obtaining graphene oxide-polyethyleneimine composite material and adding ultrasonic water to the composite material for ultrasonically dispersing into hydrosol, where concentration and pH of the graphene oxide dispersion is 1 mg/ml and 10 respectively, concentration of the polyethyleneimine aqueous solution is 3 mg/ml and volume ratio of ultrapure water, graphene oxide dispersion and polyethyleneimine solution is 7:20:24. USE - Method for preparing catalyst carrier that is utilized in electrochemical sensor for direct alcohol fuel cell and catalytically oxidizing methanol or quantitatively detecting methanol content in solution (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparing catalyst carrier with height of catalytic oxidation peak linearly with methanol concentration (when methanol concentration is 0.02-2 M, R2 is 0.996).
