NOVELTY - Zinc oxide composite material is core-shell structure material. The inner core of the zinc oxide composite material is a zinc oxide alloy. The zinc oxide alloy includes zinc and graphene. The shell of the zinc oxide composite material is graphene/zinc oxide obtained by ball milling and oxidizing the zinc oxide alloy. The zinc oxide composite material comprises 1-50 wt.% zinc oxide alloy, and 50-99 wt.% graphene/zinc oxide. USE - Zinc oxide composite material used for preparing negative electrode zinc paste in zinc-nickel storage battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The zinc oxide composite material has uniform dispersibility of trace elements, in addition, the preparation method is simple and effective, the trace element is uniformly dispersed and well combined with the zinc oxide alloy. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) method for preparing a zinc oxide composite material, which involves: (a)melting zinc oxide alloy at low temperature, (b) pouring the obtained molten zinc into a mold to cast a ball to obtain a zinc oxide alloy cast ball, (c) ball milling continuously zinc oxide alloy cast ball, oxidizing below 200degrees Celsius after ball milling, (d) sucking out the zinc oxide composite material from the ball mill by a negative pressure fan, (e) collecting to obtain the zinc oxide composite material; and (2) negative electrode zinc paste, which is obtained by using the zinc oxide composite material.
