NOVELTY - Production of graphene oxide from biochar of grape seed involves performing pyrolysis of biomass from plant source, and performing thermal decomposition of biomass in the absence of oxygen, at high temperature. USE - Production of graphene oxide from biochar of grape seed used for manufacturing product (claimed) for nanoelectronic, sensor, supercapacitor and catalysis, energy storage device such as fuel cell, rechargeable battery and ultra capacitor, automobile industry, treatment of effluents, and civil construction materials such as cement, refractory and paint. ADVANTAGE - The method is economical, enables production of graphene oxide with improved surface area, high electroconductivity, high mechanical resistance, and high yield.
