NOVELTY - Preparing a high specific surface area graphene-metal oxide composite sponge involves ultrasonically dispersing an aqueous solution of graphene oxide to obtain a uniform dispersion of graphene oxide, and then adding a metal oxide to the dispersion of the above graphene oxide and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain a dispersion of graphene oxide-metal oxide, adding graphene to the above dispersion of graphene oxide-metal oxide, and stirring at room temperature to obtain a uniform dispersion of graphene oxide-metal oxide-graphene. The commercial hydrophilic sponge is fully immersed in the dispersion of graphene oxide-metal oxide-graphene, and after the hydrophilic sponge is adsorbed and saturated, it is taken out and dried.
