NOVELTY - Method for removal of nitrate in underground water involves adding flake graphite powder to beaker, placing in ice bath, adding sodium nitrate and sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate, heating, adding resultant product to deionized water, adding hydrogen peroxide, centrifuging, lyophilizing, obtaining processed graphene, mixing with processed iron powder, adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate surfactant, filtering, obtaining iron-graphene particles as reducing agent, adding resultant reducing agent and nitrate-polluted water to reactor, reacting and reducing nitrate to nitrogen. USE - Method for removal of nitrate in underground water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables removal of nitrate in underground water by simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for removal of nitrate in underground water involves adding flake graphite powder to beaker, placing in ice bath, stirring, adding sodium nitrate and 43.5 mg/L sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate, removing from ice bath, heating at 35 degrees C for 30 minutes, adding 21.7 mg/L resultant product to deionized water, stirring for 15 minutes, adding 3% hydrogen peroxide at 60 degrees C, centrifuging, lyophilizing, obtaining processed graphene, mixing iron powder with dilute hydrochloric acid, pickling, washing using deionized water for 5-30 minutes, filtering, mixing with processed graphene oxide, adding 0.02 mg/ml sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate surfactant, reacting, filtering, obtaining iron-graphene particles as reducing agent, adding resultant reducing agent and nitrate-polluted water to reactor, reacting for 1-48 hours and reducing nitrate to nitrogen.
