▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Functionalized hybrid graphene material comprises: a substrate comprising a nanowire; graphene arranged on the surface of the nanowire, where the graphene comprises single- to few-layer graphene flakes having an out-of-plane topography freestanding on the surface; and a functional group associated with the graphene. USE - The functionalized hybrid graphene material is used as multidimensional 3D graphene-based high-performance catalysts and in electrocatalysis and biosensing application. ADVANTAGE - The functionalized hybrid graphene material has excellent electrical, chemical, or photo characteristics. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of fabricating the functionalized hybrid graphene material, comprising: providing a substrate comprising a silicon nanowire; forming graphene on the substrate through a chemical vapor deposition process, where the graphene has an out-of-plane topology terminating at an end distal from the substrate with single to few-layer graphene flakes; and coating the graphene with silicon in a deposition process.
