NOVELTY - Self-lubricating cylinder piston comprises plasma sprayed chromium carbide-nickel-chromium-graphene coating of thickness 20-30 mu m. USE - Self-lubricating cylinder piston. ADVANTAGE - The self-lubricating cylinder piston has low coefficient of friction and more excellent plating resistance than chromium under load and the wear rate is reduced by more than 50% than a base. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing chromium carbide-nickel-chromium-graphene coating which involves: (A) ball milling chromium carbide; (B) mixing with nickel-chromium; (C) adding graphene; (D) ball milling for 10 minutes; (E) adding organic binder to obtain suspension; and (F) spray granulating to obtain chromium carbide-nickel-chromium-graphene agglomerated particles.
