NOVELTY - A ferroelectric antibacterial material comprises a base layer of a ferroelectric material or a ferroelectric-based composite material. The base layer is polarized base layer. The ferroelectric-based composite material is a composite material comprising ferroelectric material as a matrix. USE - Ferroelectric antibacterial material used for sterilizing and inhibiting bacterial adhesion on surface of device such as electronic screen, wearable equipment, implanted devices, wound dressings, implanted prostheses, flexible electronic products and medical protective products (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The ferroelectric antibacterial material reduces the adhesion of bacteria on the surface of the material, by generating charge on the surface of the material by orderly arrangement of the dipoles of the ferroelectric material after being polarized, generating transient charge under external stimulation, and generating active oxygen to kill the particles. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of the ferroelectric antibacterial material, which involves (i) dispersing and/or dissolving the ferroelectric material or ferroelectric-based composite material in the solvent (S1) when the ferroelectric antibacterial material contains ferroelectric polymer, coating on the substrate, drying to obtain ferroelectric material or ferroelectric-based composite material layer and polarizing the obtained layer to obtain a ferroelectric material or a ferroelectric-based composite material base layer, or (ii) adding a solvent (S2) to the ferroelectric material or ferroelectric-based composite material for wet grinding, when the ferroelectric antibacterial material contains at least one of inorganic ferroelectric material or non-ferroelectric material, performing hot pressing treatment, annealing to obtain a ferroelectric material or ferroelectric-based composite material layer, and polarizing to obtain ferroelectric material or ferroelectric-based composite material base layer; (2) device, which comprises a surface made of the ferroelectric antibacterial material; and (3) use of the ferroelectric antibacterial material in inhibiting bacterial adhesion and sterilizing.
