NOVELTY - Preparation of extreme-pressure antiwear agent, involves reacting 80-90 mg lanthanum nitrate solution and 110-120 mg borax for 2-6 hours, adding 85-90 mg n-butanol to the lanthanum nitrate solution, esterifying for 3-8 hours, adding 95-105 mg dodecanol-modified graphene oxide, carrying out ester-exchange reaction to obtain an initial reaction solution, distilling to remove impurities to obtain dodecyloxy lanthanum borate-modified graphene as the extreme-pressure antiwear agent. USE - Preparation of extreme-pressure antiwear agent for vehicle gear oil (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of extreme-pressure antiwear agent which reduces friction coefficient of friction surface. During friction, the rare-earth element and boron diffuse from the friction surface to the matrix to form a permeable layer, thus improving the wear resistance, antirust property, and corrosion resistance of the material surface. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for vehicle gear oil comprising 90-98 parts mass base oil, 0.3-0.8 part mass extreme-pressure antiwear agent, 0.1-0.5 part mass ammonium thiophosphate, 0.5-1.5 parts mass sulfurized isobutene, 0.2-0.7 part mass detergent, 0.3-0.5 part mass dispersant, 0.1-0.3 part mass pour point depressant, and 0.0001-0.0002 part mass defoamer.
