NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide-modified aqueous alkyd latex involves mixing N,N-dimethylformamide, graphene oxide, catalyst and glycidyl neodecanoate, and reacting at 120-150 degrees C, cooling the reaction mass and centrifuging, taking solid phase and vacuum drying to obtain modified graphene oxide. The modified graphene oxide, oleic acid, phthalic anhydride, trimethylolpropane, pentaerythritol and toluene are mixed in a reactor with a water separator and under nitrogen protection, the temperature is raised to 180 degrees C and the reaction is maintained for 2 hours. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide-modified aqueous alkyd latex. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare graphene oxide-modified aqueous alkyd latex, which improves shielding ability of the graphene oxide sheet. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene oxide-modified aqueous alkyd latex involves mixing N,N-dimethylformamide, graphene oxide, catalyst and glycidyl neodecanoate, and reacting at 120-150 degrees C, cooling the reaction mass and centrifuging, taking solid phase and vacuum drying to obtain modified graphene oxide. The temperature is raised to 220 degrees C until the acid value of the resin is less than 10 mgKOH/g. The toluene is distilled off, then cooled down to 170 degrees C and trimellitic anhydride is added to reacted with the acid value of the resin less than 50mgKOH/g, cooled down to 120 degrees C. The propylene glycol monobutyl ether is added, cooled to 70 degrees C, and N,N-dimethylethanolamine is added for reaction. The distilled water is added at 70 degrees C, cooled down to 40 degrees C and filtered. The filtered matter is taken, a graphene oxide-modified aqueous alkyd latex is obtained.
