NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide-reinforced silane film comprises (i) mixing bis(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl) tetrasulfide silane with ethanol solution to obtain 3-5 vol.% silane solution, the volume fraction of the ethanol solution is 80-85%, and mixing is carried out with magnetic stirring, (ii) adjusting the pH of the silane solution to 4-4.5 with glacial acetic acid and aqueous ammonia to hydrolyze BTESP in a constant temperature water bath, (iii) adding graphene oxide powder into the hydrolyzed silane solution, and ultrasonic dispersing for 3-40 minutes, (iv) immersing the 40Cr steel metal substrate after ultrasonic cleaning by acetone in 3-3.5% sodium hydroxide solution for 20-30 seconds, and removing and rinsing with deionized water and drying, (v) placing the metal substrate in the prepared silane solution for passivation for 40-90 seconds, taking out and drying, and (vi) heat-curing the dry metal substrate in a blast drying oven at a temperature of 100-140 degrees C for 30-40 minutes. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide-reinforced silane film. ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple, easy to operate, environmentally friendly, energy efficient, and adaptable; and improves corrosion resistance of the silane film. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene oxide-reinforced silane film comprises (i) mixing bis(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl) tetrasulfide silane (BTESP) with ethanol solution to obtain 3-5 vol.% silane solution, the volume fraction of the ethanol solution is 80-85%, and mixing is carried out with magnetic stirring, (ii) adjusting the pH of the silane solution to 4-4.5 with glacial acetic acid and aqueous ammonia to hydrolyze BTESP in a constant temperature water bath, (iii) adding graphene oxide powder into the hydrolyzed silane solution, so that the concentration of graphene oxide is 50-100 mg/l, and ultrasonic dispersing for 3-40 minutes, (iv) immersing the 40Cr steel metal substrate after ultrasonic cleaning by acetone in 3-3.5% sodium hydroxide solution for 20-30 seconds, and removing and rinsing with deionized water and drying, (v) placing the metal substrate in the prepared silane solution for passivation for 40-90 seconds, taking out and drying, and (vi) heat-curing the dry metal substrate in a blast drying oven at a temperature of 100-140 degrees C for 30-40 minutes to obtain final product.
