NOVELTY - Graphene-coated solid acid catalyst having a specific surface area of 800-1000 m2/g, a pore size of 50-100 nm of ≥ 80%, and an acidity of 4-6 mmol H+/g, is claimed. USE - The catalyst is useful for catalytic nitration of aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst: has high activity, stable performance, wide application range, obvious application and popularization value. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the catalyst, comprising (i) adding aqueous ammonia atomization to metal salt aqueous solution under the action of super-gravity to precipitate, then washing, drying and milling to obtain 20-30 nm particles A, (ii) adding particles A obtained in the step (i) into polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and a complexing agent to fully mix, and carbonizing at a high temperature to obtain a graphene-coated intermediate product B, and (iii) subjecting graphene-coated intermediate product B obtained in the step (ii) to sulfuric acid circulation soaking, filtering, drying and roasting to obtain the finished product.
