NOVELTY - Preparing an electrode material with biomimetic shell layered structure involves ball milling red phosphorus and hydroxylated carbon nanotubes to obtain a red phosphorus-hydroxylated carbon nanotube composite material. The binder, the graphene oxide, the hydroxylated carbon nanotube and the red phosphorus-hydroxylated carbon nanotube composite material are added into water, mixed and stirred to obtain a mixed solution. The mixed solution is poured into a copper column mold into liquid nitrogen for freeze casting. The cast material is freeze dried to obtain a precursor material which is heated, then cut into pieces and pressed to obtain the electrode material with the bionic shell laminated structure. USE - Method for preparing an electrode material with biomimetic shell layered structure used in secondary battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare an electrode material with biomimetic shell layered structure in a simple and effective manner. The composite material is directly used as the electrode material of the battery without the coating process. The problems of structural instability and volume expansion of high-quality phosphorus-loaded electrodes are solved. The method enables to obtain electrode material with stable cycle performance, high areal capacity, and low electrode volume change. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for an electrode material having biomimetic shell layered structure.
