NOVELTY - Graphene nanoribbon with visible light response is prepared by ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide into ultrapurified water at graphene oxide and water mass ratio of 0.025:100, then evaporating to dryness, performing vacuum reduction at 300 degrees C for 3 hours, and then ultrasonically dispersing in ultrapurified water for 10 minutes to 8 hours, washing with water, and finally dispersing in ultrapurified water to obtain the graphene nanoribbon. USE - Method of preparing graphene nanoribbon with visible light response (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method involves vacuum reduction of graphene oxide into graphene while breaking the carbon-carbon double bond in the backbone so as to obtain graphene nanoribbon having length of 100-400 nm and width of 20-80 nm. The nanoribbon exhibits characteristics of a semiconductor and has strong light induced electron and electron transport capacity under irradiation of sunlight.
