NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene nanosheet-reinforced alumina ceramic using aluminum oxide as substrate includes adding graphene aqueous solution to aluminum oxide slurry in planetary ball mill tank, ball milling at room temperature to obtain mixed powder, adding the mixed powder into graphite mold, placing the graphite mold in multifunctional sintering furnace, raising the temperature, pressurizing, keeping the temperature, stopping heating, naturally cooling to room temperature, and obtaining the finished product. USE - Preparation of graphene nanosheet-reinforced alumina ceramic (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple and easy for large-scale production, achieves high product intensity and toughness, and has low cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene nanosheet-reinforced alumina ceramic using aluminum oxide as substrate comprises weighing 0.1-1 wt.% aluminum oxide powder and balance graphene nanosheet, adding aluminum oxide powder in planetary ball mill tank having alumina ball and absolute ethyl alcohol as ball milling medium, where the mass ratio of alumina ball, aluminum oxide powder, and absolute ethyl alcohol is 6-8:1:1.5-2, ball milling at 300 revolutions/minute (rpm) at room temperature for 8-9 hours to obtain aluminum oxide slurry, adding graphene nanosheet and dispersant i.e. naphthalene sulfonate with distilled water, adjusting the pH at 10-12 to prepare graphene water solution, where mass ratio of graphene nanosheet, naphthalene sulfonate dispersant, and distilled water is 5-7:1:2.5-5, ultrasonically processing for 1-2 hours, adding the graphene aqueous solution to aluminum oxide slurry in the planetary ball mill tank, ball milling at room temperature and 300 rpm for 8-9 hours to obtain mixed powder, adding the mixed powder into graphite mold, placing the graphite mold in multifunctional sintering furnace, raising the temperature at 19-21 degrees C/minute to 1495-1505 degrees C, pressurizing at 25-30 MPa, keeping the temperature for 1-1.5 hours, stopping heating, naturally cooling to room temperature, and obtaining the finished product.
