NOVELTY - Preparing magnetic graphene oxide involves preparing solution by mixing concentrated sulfuric and phosphoric acid in ratio of 9:1. Graphite powder, potassium permanganate, obtained solution, deionized water, 5% hydrogen peroxide solution and 5% hydrochloric acid solution are mixed in ratio of 1g:3g:23mL:49mL:10mL:10mL to obtain magnetic graphene oxide mother liquid. The obtained solution is stirred at 0 degrees C, and then added with powdered potassium permanganate with stirring till dark green color is obtained. The obtained mixture is heated to 35 degrees C with stirring for 60 minutes. USE - Method for preparing magnetic graphene oxide for treating waste-water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare magnetic graphene oxide in simple and cost-effective manner, and consume less energy, and require less time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing magnetic graphene oxide involves preparing solution by mixing concentrated sulfuric and phosphoric acid in ratio of 9:1. Graphite powder, potassium permanganate, obtained solution, deionized water, 5% hydrogen peroxide solution and 5% hydrochloric acid solution are mixed in ratio of 1g:3g:23mL:49mL:10mL:10mL to obtain magnetic graphene oxide mother liquid. The obtained solution is stirred at 0 degrees C, and then added with powdered potassium permanganate with stirring till dark green color is obtained. The obtained mixture is heated to 35 degrees C with stirring for 60 minutes, and then heated to 60 degrees C. The obtained mixture is added with deionized water gradually, and heated to 98 degrees C with stirring for 30-60 minutes. The obtained mixture is placed in 60 degrees C warm water, and added with hydrogen peroxide solution and hydrochloric acid solution with stirring for 30 minutes. The obtained mixture is kept to obtain precipitate. Supernatant is removed, and precipitate is rinsed with deionized water to obtain pH of 6-7. The obtained mixture is centrifuged, and to obtain precipitate, which is dispersed in deionized water to obtain magnetic graphene oxide mother liquid. The graphene oxide, ferric chloride hexahydrate, ferrous sulfate heptahydrate and concentrated ammonia are mixed in ratio of 1g:2.3g:1.5g:20ml are mixed, and then added to magnetic graphene oxide mother liquid for 30 minutes. The obtained mixture is purged with nitrogen for 30 minutes to remove dissolved oxygen, and then ferric chloride hexahydrate and ferrous sulfate heptahydrate are added at 90 degrees C with stirring for 10 minutes. The obtained mixture is stirred continuously for 30-60 minutes, and then cooled to room temperature. The obtained mixture is centrifuged to obtain supernatant having pH 7-8. The obtained supernatant is dried, and sieved to obtain magnetic graphene oxide.
