NOVELTY - Light valve device comprises a first transparent substrate, a first transparent electrode formed on the first transparent substrate, a second transparent substrate, a second transparent electrode formed on the second transparent substrate; the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode are arranged oppositely, and a light control layer disposed between the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode; the light control layer includes polymer matrix; a suspension medium liquid drop (G30) are dispersed in the polymer matrix and solid light-controlling particles (G40) are distributed in the suspension medium liquid drop; the solid light-controlling particles are formed from raw materials including iodine, main group metal iodide, transition metal organic complex and/or rare earth metal organic complex, nitrogen-containing organic ligand and nitrocellulose. USE - The light valve device is useful in dimming glass assembly (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The light valve device: has non-blue tone in dark state; is transparent in bright state; the non-blue tone having L of 10-40, a of -5 to 5 and b of -1.5 to 5 in the CIELAB color coordinates; is non-blue solid particle; utilizes solid light-controlling particles in the suspension medium liquid drop, which are randomly dispersed due to Brownian motion and the light beam entering the light valve is absorbed and/or scattered, the light valve has poor light transmittance, is relatively dark, and the dark state is a non-blue tone when no electric field is applied (off state) and utilized solid light-controlling particles are polarized by the electric field, and their morphology and state are changed and thus affecting the absorption/scattering and transmission of light by the light valve when an electric field is applied (on state); majority of the light can pass through the light valve; enhances the light transmittance of the light valve; is relatively bright; and realizes the modulation of the dark state primary color. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) Preparing light valve device. The method utilizes solid light-controlling particles, polymer matrix precursor and initiator; (2) Preparing solid light-controlling particles. The method utilizes iodine, main group metal iodide, transition metal organic complex and/or rare earth metal organic complex, nitrocellulose and organic solvent, low-carbon alcohol, distilled water and nitrogen-containing organic compound; and (3) Dimming glass assembly, comprises a first glass plate, a second glass plate, and a light valve device disposed between the first glass plate and the second glass plate; the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate are transparent plastic sheets; a first adhesive layer is provided between the first glass plate and the light valve device and/or a second adhesive layer is provided between the second glass plate and the light valve device.
