NOVELTY - Preparation of a functionalized graphene oxide comprises preparing a graphene oxide sol by grinding graphite oxide to a fine powder of 1-100 mu m, mixing with a solvent, stirring for 0.5-10 hours to form 0.25-5 mg/mL suspension, carrying out ultrasonic treatment for 0.5-2 hours at 40-100 W, centrifuging for 0.5-3 hours at not less than 3000 revolutions/minute to remove dregs, and carrying out dialysis; and reacting the graphene oxide sol with 25-28 wt.% ammonia water at a volume ratio of 5-50:1 for 0.5-10 hours at 40-180 degrees C under sealing condition, and drying at 20-28 degrees C. USE - Method for the preparation of a functionalized graphene oxide used for an electronic device, a composite material, a battery, a field emitter, a gas sensor, a catalytic, and an energy storage material. ADVANTAGE - The method has mild conditions and low energy consumption.
