NOVELTY - Improving performance of vanadium battery electrolyte involves preparing a vanadium disulfide precursor solution, treating the precursor solution to obtain a solution containing nanopowder, drying the solution containing nanopowder to obtain a vanadium disulfide nanopowder, adding the vanadium disulfide nanopowder into tetravalent vanadium electrolyte for mixing, ultrasonically oscillating the mixed solution, and leaving still to obtain final modified electrolyte. USE - Improving performance of vanadium battery electrolyte. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, ensures strong sustainability, does not cause electrolyte precipitation when the number of cycles increases, improves the electrolyte performance of vanadium battery through addition of small amount of vanadium disulfide to the vanadium battery electrolyte and due to the graphene-like two-dimensional structure of vanadium disulfide, which broadens the propagation channel of conductive ions in vanadium battery and provides more active sites, thus enhancing the overall electrochemical performance of vanadium battery.
