NOVELTY - The preparation of graphene/phenolic resin composite material involves melt-blending, kneading, and molding graphene with phenolic resin to form composite material. The curing accelerator for curing is propylene carbonate, diisocyanate, and octadecanoic acid. USE - Preparation of graphene/phenolic resin composite material used in preparation of automotive brake lining, automobile brake pad and friction material for clutch plate (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene/phenolic resin composite material with high mechanical properties, high friction coefficient, low wear rate, low hydrophilicity, high dispersion stability and high uniformity, and strong thermal stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: graphene/phenolic resin composite material; and #usage of graphene/phenolic resin composite material in preparation of automotive brake lining, automobile brake pad and friction material for clutch plate, which comprises friction material composition containing 5-13 pts. wt. graphene/phenolic resin composite, 2-6 pts. wt. steel fiber, 3-10 pts. wt. basalt fiber, 10-15 pts. wt. aramid, 1-5 pts. wt. graphite whisker, 1-3 pts. wt. chromite, 3-10 pts. wt. zinc sulfate, 1-3 pts. wt. alumina, 15-25 pts. wt. fly ash, and 5-10 pts. wt. barium sulfate.
