NOVELTY - Bi-component zinc-rich primer comprises A component comprising aqueous agglomerant and B component comprising silicon dioxide modified zinc powder, where dosage of the component A and component B is calculated according to weight ratio of 1: (0.6-1.5). The silicon dioxide modified zinc powder is prepared by firstly, stirring and mixing a silane coupling agent, a silane hydrophobic agent and gas phase silicon dioxide sol to obtain mixed silica sol, and then flowing a sodium hydroxide aqueous solution to enable the pH value to be 8-10 and adding tetraethyl orthosilicate and zinc powder into the mixed silica sol, continuously stirring and mixing, and spray-drying to prepare powder so as to obtain the silicon dioxide modified zinc powder. USE - The bi-component zinc-rich primer used in the current China heavy anti-corrosion coating system for coating on the metal surface and forming protective film under a certain condition. ADVANTAGE - The double-component zinc-rich primer has excellent adhesive force under the compound action of aqueous agglomerant and silicon dioxide modified zinc powder, and it obviously improves the anti-corrosion protection performance of the paint film through the incorporation of silicon dioxide-modified zinc powder. The method is simple, easy to operate, and has stable performance, has excellent adhesion, and is suitable for mass industrialization production. The nano-inorganic filler of the component improves the mechanical property of paint film by filling, and can be compounded with the zinc powder by itself, characteristics reducing the surface energy of the coating surface, realizing lotus leaf effect, reducing the adhesion and penetration of the corrosion medium, so as to reach the better anti corrosion effect.
