NOVELTY - Middle joint material of medium-voltage cable comprises 0-80 pts. wt. ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM) rubber, 10-20 pts. wt. of reinforced resin, 10-15 pts. wt. calcined clay, 3-6 pts. wt. crosslinking agent, 8-15 pts. wt. flame retardant, 6-8 pts. wt. of lubricant, 4-10 pts. wt. white carbon black and 6-12 pts. wt. modified basalt fiber, the modified basalt fiber is prepared by taking an ethanol solution with a mass fraction of 30-50%, adding a silane coupling agent, mixing well and adjust the pH to 3-4 with acid, adding basalt fiber, the amount of silane coupling agent is 3-5% of the weight of the basalt fiber, allowing to stand for 40-60 minutes, and heating at 100-200°C for 1-2 hours after drying to obtain the pretreated basalt fiber, (2) taking dopamine, mixing it with salt water to form a 2-3 g/l dopamine solution. USE - The middle joint material of medium-voltage cable is useful in the middle joint new material field, specifically to a middle joint of a cable. ADVANTAGE - The middle joint material of medium-voltage cable not easy to be accelerated, can keep good sealing performance more stable and stable, so as to keep the circuit stable. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the preparing middle joint material of medium-voltage cable comprising (1) preparing the raw material containing ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber, reinforced resin, calcined argil, crosslinking agent, fire retardant, white carbon black and modified basalt fiber, (2) mixing the ethylene propylene diene rubber and reinforced resin in the step (1) for 10-15 minutes, mixing flame retardant cross-linking agent and lubricant for 3-5 minutes, adding white carbon black and modified basalt fiber, continuously mixing for 10-20 minutes, the whole mixing temperature is 130-150℃, extruding and granulating to obtain the middle joint material of medium-voltage cable.
