NOVELTY - Preparing graphene quantum dot solution by electrochemical method comprises (a) performing high-temperature expansion of expandable graphite at 700-1100 degrees C at an expansion rate of 40-100g/ml to obtain expanded graphite, (b) uniformly dispersing the expanded graphite in the alkaline solution, obtaining expanded graphite dispersion liquid, (c) electrolyzing the expanded graphite dispersion liquid for 2-8 hours at 5-20 V to obtain the electrolyte, filtering the electrolyte to obtain the crude graphene quantum dot solution and (d) dialyzing the crude graphene quantum dot aqueous solution by dialysis bag to obtain graphene quantum dot solution. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene quantum dot solution by electrochemical method. ADVANTAGE - The quantum dots in the solution: have relatively uniform morphology and are not easy to agglomerate and suitable for large-scale preparation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a graphene quantum dot solution obtained by the above preparation method.
