NOVELTY - Conductive carbon-based particles comprise a first layer containing silver oxide formed on the surface of the carbon-based particles, a second layer formed on the first layer and containing copper, and a third layer formed over the second layer and comprising nickel or silver. USE - The conductive carbon-based particles are used in electronic components. ADVANTAGE - The conductive carbon-based particles have excellent electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, excellent bonding strength at low cost, reduced in weight of applied parts, and improved reliability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for producing conductive carbon-based particles, involving (a) hydrophilizing the surface of the carbon-based particles, (b) forming a first layer of coating silver oxide on the carbon-based particles whose surfaces are hydrophilic, (c) forming a second layer of electrolessly plating copper on the first layer, and (d) forming a third layer of electrolessly plating nickel or silver on the second layer.
