▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Composition comprises at least one graphene-supported assembly comprising (i) a three-dimensional network of graphene sheets crosslinked by covalent carbon bonds and (ii) at least one metal chalcogenide compound disposed on the graphene sheets. The chalcogen of the metal chalcogenide compound comprise sulfur, selenium or tellurium. USE - The composition is useful in lithium storage, hydrogen evolution, decontamination, fuel upgrading (coal and biofeedstock) and coal liquefaction applications. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-supported metal chalcogenide assembly: has high surface area and conductivity, less operating temperature, and large and tunable pore volume and pore size; provides the enablement of electrochemical deposition and electrocatalysis; and ensures that the coal liquefaction offers the option of co-feeding oils based on biofeedstocks that reduce overall plant carbon footprint. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing the composition comprising either: (a) preparing a reaction mixture comprising graphene oxide, at least one precursor of a metal chalcogenide compound and at least one catalyst, (b) curing the reaction mixture to produce a gel, (c) reducing the gel with at least one reducing agent, and (d) drying the gel to produce a graphene-based monolith; or (a1) providing a graphene aerogel comprising a three-dimensional network of graphene sheets crosslinked by covalent carbon bonds, (b1) immersing the graphene aerogel in a solution comprising at least one precursor of a metal chalcogenide compound to form a mixture, (c1) curing the mixture to obtain a wet gel, (d1) drying the wet gel to obtain a dry gel, and (e1) annealing the dry gel to obtain the graphene-supported assembly; or the steps (a) and (b) as above per se, and applying an electrical current to the graphene aerogel to electrochemically deposit a film of the metal chalcogenide compound onto the graphene sheets.
