NOVELTY - Negative active material (10) comprises silicon particles and an additive (120), where the additive comprises first and second polymers (121) covalently bonded to each other between the silicon particles, and a surfactant (123) added between the first and second polymers (122). USE - Negative active material for use in electrode (claimed), that is used for negative electrode of a next-generation secondary battery such as a lithium battery. ADVANTAGE - The electrode has capable of maintaining high lifespan stability while improving an electric capacity retention rate, i.e., lifespan. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for manufacturing an electrode which involves adding surfactant, preparing a solute by dry mixing silicon particles and an additive, preparing a solution by adding the solute to deionized water and wet mixing, coating the solution on a substrate, and drying the coated solution to form an electrode, where the additive is formed between first and second polymers covalently bonded to each other between the silicon particles.
