NOVELTY - Preparing reverse osmosis membrane comprises (i) contacting base film with a polyamine monomer solution containing carboxylated two-dimensional nanomaterials, (ii) contacting base film obtained in step (i) with acid chloride monomer solution to obtain polyamide layer on base film, (iii) heating further crosslinks polyamide layer to obtain reverse osmosis membrane, (iv) immersing reverse osmosis membrane in diethanolamine solution, (v) immersing reverse osmosis membrane in carboxy activator solution, and immersing in graft polymer solution, (vi) immersing reverse osmosis membrane in cross-linking agent solution, (vii) coating reverse osmosis membrane surface with protective layer solution, and (viii) post-treating to obtain final reverse osmosis membrane. USE - The method is useful for preparing reverse osmosis membrane for desalination of boron sea water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple and easy; and overcomes defect of high deboronation capacity but low flux of reverse osmosis membrane in prior art. The membrane has high flux and high or close salt rejection performance than original membrane, and has high boron removal performance.
