NOVELTY - A secondary battery comprises a positive electrode plate (100) containing positive electrode current collector (30), a positive electrode active material (10) and a coating (20) arranged between the current collector and the active material. The coating (20) contains a conductive agent and a copolymer containing amide-based structural unit (I), carboxy-based structural unit (II) and pyrrolidine-based structural unit (III). USE - Secondary battery used in battery module for use in battery pack used for device (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to power supply device, energy storage device, mobile phone, notebook computer, electric vehicle, hybrid electric vehicle, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, electric bicycle, electric scooter, electric club car, electric truck, electric train, ship and satellite. ADVANTAGE - The battery has high overcharging safety from fire or explosion and excellent internal polarization, high/low temperature performance and cycle characteristics. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A secondary battery comprises a positive electrode plate (100) containing positive electrode current collector (30), a positive electrode active material (10), and a coating (20) arranged between the current collector and the active material. The coating (20) contains a conductive agent and a copolymer containing amide-based structural unit of formula (I), carboxy-based structural unit of formula (II) and pyrrolidine-based structural unit of formula (III). R1 , R2 = H, 1-10C alkyl, 1-10C alkoxy group, or 1-10C alkenyl group, all are optionally substituted with hydroxyl, amino, amido, cyano, and carboxy; R3 = R1 , R2 or 5-20C aryl; R4 = H, inorganic metal ion such as sodium ion, potassium ion, lithium ion, calcium ion, or magnesium ion, 1-10C alkyl which is optionally substituted with halo, hydroxy, amino, amido, cyano, or carboxy, or R10NR11R12; R10 = 1-10C alkylene or 2-10C alkenylene, all are optionally substituted with halo, hydroxy, amino, amido, cyano, or carboxy; R11, R12 = 5-20C aryl, 1-10C alkyl or 1-10 C alkenyl, all are optionally substituted with halo, hydroxy, amino, amido, cyano, or carboxy; R5, R6 = H or 1-10C alkyl optionally substituted with halo, hydroxy, amino, amido, cyano, or carboxy;and X = anion selected from halide ion, sulfate ion or sulfonate ion.
